Our final TRAINING TIP from
our Medical Director, Dr. Michael Hartmann
Our 2013 Charity Partner runners have raised over $280,000 for charity. For a small race, that is an AMAZING achievement! Be sure to watch for their Charity bibs on Sunday and give them an extra shout.
Course maps and elevation charts have been updated and are online.
The marathon will start and finish at the North Central College athletic complex - near South Loomis Street and East Porter Avenue - and run through an extensive loop in central, south and east Naperville.
This first year race will be limited in the number of total runners to give our runners the best experience possible. The fast course will please our runners, and time of year allows for far friendlier training temperatures than earlier fall marathons.
The city of Naperville is encouraging individuals, families, organizations and neighborhoods to register with marathon organizers to show their support and offer runners encouragement as they run the half-marathon and marathon course totaling 13.1 and 26.2 miles, respectively.
Examples of roles can include but are not limited to:
- Cheering Sections/Zones
- Neighborhood or Block Captains
- Water/Aid Station Assistance
- Musical Entertainment at Mile Markers
